Now that you know what’s what, let’s go over how to start and stop your hedge trimmer.
Starting
- First, plug the unit in. Please refer to the manual’s Connecting the Power Source for a proper connection.
- Next, press and hold the switch lock, and then push in the trigger switch and handle switch simultaneously.
- Now release the switch lock while continuing to squeeze the switch trigger and handle switch. When the hedge trimmer blade starts moving, you’re ready to cut.
Stopping
- Once you’ve finished, release the trigger switch.
- NOTE: Once you release the switch trigger, the trimmer blade will gradually come to a stop.
- NOTE: After releasing the switch trigger, the switch lock will automatically lock the grip trigger switch. It’s a safety thing.
- If you have more hedges to cut, wait for the trimmer blade to come to a complete stop before moving.
- When you’re done trimming, disconnect the power source. Another safety precaution.
